Julie Parker Communications presents Public Speaking for Public Safety Professionals, a powerful one-day training designed to help sharpen your communication skills for any setting, from community meetings and press conferences to ceremonies and council presentations. Through engaging instruction, interactive exercises, and personalized feedback from experienced public speaking instructors, participants will gain the tools and confidence to deliver impactful, authentic messages that resonate with any audience.

As a former journalist, Emilie (Voss) Eager has an extensive background in public speaking and presentation. Emilie Eager brings a diverse background, merging her media, law enforcement and public relations expertise. Previously, Julie Parker hired her to help lead the Media Relations Bureau for the Fairfax County Police Department in Virginia. While there she graduated from the PERF Senior Management Institute for Police. She was also honored as a 3-time Emmy award winning journalist during an extensive broadcast career. Emilie joins Julie Parker Communications after overseeing public relations for CARFAX, a leading brand in automotive.

Training certificates will be sent upon completion.

Early Registration Rate

Register more than 30 days before the event and receive 10% off per ticket. Use code MARPLE10 at checkout.

Group Rate

You qualify for a group rate of 10% off per ticket when you register two or more people from the same organization. Email ashley@julieparkerco.com to register.

Registration Transfer Policy

We understand that things come up for busy public safety professionals. Purchased tickets are transferable to another student or the registered person may apply the registration fee to another JPC course anywhere in the country within 24 months of the original scheduled course.

Course Cancellation Policy

While it happens rarely, Julie Parker Communications might need to cancel a scheduled program. We strive to make this decision a minimum of fourteen days before the training date(s) and promptly inform all registered participants. In cases of course cancellations by JPC, the full registration fee will be reimbursed. However, it's important to note that JPC cannot be held accountable for any financial losses resulting from cancellations or alterations in travel arrangements.

Photo/Audio/Video Release

By registering for and attending this event, you acknowledge and grant consent to being photographed or video recorded for incorporation into various media materials, including but not restricted to flyers, invitations, magazines, websites, annual reports, and newsletters. To safeguard individual privacy, images will not be linked to full names or personal identification details unless written authorization is obtained from the individuals depicted.
