Julie Parker has combined her Emmy and Edward R. Murrow award-winning television journalism career in Washington, D.C., with experience directing the media relations divisions for two of our nation’s largest police departments and made a seamless transition into her current role as President & CEO of America’s premier crisis communications firm for law enforcement and other government agencies.

Since 2014, Parker has been called upon by the Naval Postgraduate School’s Center for Homeland Defense & Security as a crisis communications subject-matter expert and has been a guest speaker at the FBI National Academy in Quantico for multiple sessions each year for a decade. Significantly, on September 11, Parker anchored the news moments after the second plane crash. She was the first reporter to go live from the scene of the Beltway Sniper in October 2002. She managed the public communications for the department during the active shooter at police headquarters, which led to the friendly fire death of one of the agency’s officers. Parker was also called in 30 days after the January 6 attack on the Capitol, successfully steering the United States Capitol Police through the media and social media aftermath.

Parker's firm has been doubly honored by the Ragan Crisis Communication Awards in the Reputation Turnaround Campaign and Government/NGOs categories. The Washington Post highlighted her work using social media for law enforcement, and she had the distinct honor of providing written testimony on technology and social media for the President's Task Force on 21st Century Policing.
