This dynamic, two-day training is built for public information officers and leaders responsible for shaping and delivering public messaging who want a more confident, strategic approach. Through interactive discussions, real-world scenarios, and hands-on exercises, you will refine how you communicate in any situation, whether promoting positive stories, addressing misinformation, or navigating a high-pressure crisis.
From social media posts to live mock news conferences, you will gain practical skills to deliver clear, credible messages across every communication channel. The course combines proven strategies with real-world application in a supportive, low-pressure learning environment designed for adult professionals.
You will leave with greater confidence, stronger communication skills, and a clear roadmap you can put into action right away.

Instructor: Christopher Mannino, retired chief of police from the Chicago area, is an FBI National Academy graduate and National Policing Institute Executive Fellow. He led his agency through multiple crises and critical incidents and now serves as vice president of Julie Parker Communications, recognized internationally as a crisis communications expert.

Registration Transfer Policy
We understand that things come up for busy public safety professionals. Purchased tickets are transferable to another student, or the registered person may apply the registration fee to another JPC course anywhere in the country within 24 months of the original scheduled course.
Course Cancellation Policy
While rare, Julie Parker Communications might need to cancel a scheduled program. We strive to make this decision at least fourteen days before the training date(s) and promptly inform all registered participants. If JPC must cancel a course, your registration fee will be reimbursed. However, please note that JPC cannot be held accountable for any financial losses resulting from cancellations or alterations in travel arrangements.
